How to Court a Girl

Okay, this is for shy guys out there. Before you ask your male friends or family members (brother or dad), you should get an advice first from a woman. Why? Because she KNOWS what girls want ;) Here's my short list of do's and don't's. Believe me when I say women are not hard to read.

DO:
1. Friend her on social media. And no, this isn't stalking unless you haven't met in person yet. She might be just a Facebook "Add friend" button away!

2. Write her an old fashioned letter or card (if you're not comfortable with #1).

3. Listen to Bruno Mars' song "When I was still your man" for more motivations.

DON'T:
1. Never ask her brother to do a favor of asking the question "Can he court you?" because that's awkward!

2. Never assume that she doesn't like you if you didn't get an answer (pay attention of the the body language).

3. Never repeat #1 because you might get the same answer.

4. Never stare or flirt with other girls when she's around.

How To Motivate Yourself to Walk (Regularly)

If you are fit right now, you might say, "I don't need to." Then you are like I was few months ago. Yes we have all heard "creating a healthy lifestyle starts with a habit." Whether you're still in that healthy or "I need to do something about this" stage, it's not too late to start it now. Here are some reasons that I use in motivating myself:

1.  Clothes dilemma - I was shocked when I couldn't fit in most of my clothes any longer. Then I realized that I gained pounds! What's worse is that I can't hide it even on my pictures, and I have to wear very loose clothes. And definitely, I do not like my family's recent comments and jokes about my waistline.

2. A stress buster - A drastic lifestyle change can surely take a toll on your health. I always found myself sleepless and could not enjoy the things I used to do like watching my favorite TV shows or movies.

3. A social boost - Having several online friends or connections are good but "real" social interaction are better. Why not combine them? Meet new people or catch up with friends, family, relatives or acquaintances by inviting them for a walk. Last week, I had a great time walking with a former coworker at my local park. Who would not want to have a chat while enjoying a nice view? Having a walk buddy is also a good way to network.  Share that passion while helping each other mutually!

How To Make an Effective Powerpoint Presentation

1. Theme – Pick a design that is appropriate.  Match the industry (consulting, educational, etc) to grab your audience's attention.  Be simple, use fewer images, or be more creative, based on the nature or field.

2. Layout – Avoid using paragraphs if appropriate except for the part of a case study or a similar type of format.  Bullet points allow your audience to listen and read the slide at the same time.  In short, it will keep them on the same track. Most presentations use blue as background because it’s cooler to the eye. Even businesses prefer this color for their logo or packaging because it symbolizes dependability.  The background should not overshadow the text. In some fields, they use the 8x8 rule: 8 words per line and 8 lines per slide.  Use phrases instead of sentences.
